Rapunzel has a new home at Disneyland within the cherished Storybook Land Canal Boats attraction at Disneyland! The attraction has reopened from its refurbishment with a special new addition celebrating the fan-favorite Walt Disney Animation Studios story of TANGLED.
Here’s what we know about the 2025 updates at Storybook Land Canal Boats in Disneyland.
Touted as part of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, the fantastical waterways of the Storybook Land Canal Boats are now graced with a replica of Rapunzel’s Tower — located just between the iconic Patchwork Quilt and stately Toad Hall.
The iconic turret towers over Storybook Land appearing just as it did in the animated classic complete with indigo shingles. Plus, multiple wanted posters seeking Flynn Rider dot the stone wall, and even in miniature, they still couldn’t get Flynn’s nose right.
There’s more magic further down the waterway where a a secluded dock with a boat inspired by the one from the film will sit at the edge of the water with an unassuming paper lantern waiting to be lit. The scene is framed by a trail of twinkling lights winding up a trellis on the nearby bridge for Casey Jr. Circus Train evoking the magical lanterns. During the day, you can hear a charming arrangement of “When Will My Life Begin?” and after dusk, you’ll hear the indelible “I See the Light.”

Storybook Land Canal Boats reopened from refurbishment officially at Disneyland on November 14, 2026.
