About the Parade
The event-exclusive offering features happy haunts from around the globe who have materialized for an eerie-sistable ghost party that’s being hosted by Madame Leota of the Haunted Mansion. The cavalcade features a Haunted Mansion main float plus three smaller floats, each flanked with ballroom dancers, ominous gravediggers, and ghoulies from last Halloween.
Some of the characters you’ll encounter include happy haunts whose faces you may have seen materialize at the Haunted Mansion including the Hitchhiking Ghosts, Constance the bride, Sally Slater the tightrope walker, and of course the mansion Caretaker.
How to Watch
Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party is a small procession that features three show stops. It takes approximately 5 minutes to pass if you’re in a spot that does not include a show stop but if you’re in a designated show stop zone, that adds approximately 4 minutes. The show can be seen along most of the Performance Corridor which spans from near Guardians of the Galaxy — MISSION: BREAKOUT! near The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. The three show stop zones are:
- Hollywood Boulevard (from the entrance into Hollywood Land to Off the Page)
- Sonoma Terrace (from the entrance into San Fransokyo Square to the end of Sonoma Terrace)
- Paradise Park (running the length of The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure)
It’s important to keep in mind that the “start” time for the parade is from the point that it steps off from the parade gate. The first procession of the evening steps off at the parade gate near The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. The second procession steps off at the parade gate near Guardians of the Galaxy — MISSION: BREAKOUT. Depending on how far you are from the start point, that could add upwards of 30-minutes or more before you see this show come your way.
While some might swear on one showing over the other being less crowded, we found that both shows can get pretty busy especially since the show is brand-new. Still, you can usually find a decent spot not too long before either showing. However, if you’re picky about your view, you’ll want to show up at least 45 minutes early.
Typical showtimes are 8:15 PM and 10:05 PM but always check the Disneyland app for the latest information and showtimes.
