As a kick off to the 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, the Happiest Place on Earth hosted a busy and colorful D23 Day celebration at the Disneyland Resort with special one-day only offerings including entertainment and character appearances, activities, merch, and more.

Here’s everything we saw for D23 Day at the Disneyland Resort pre-party to the 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

What We Saw

There was no special ticket needed for D23 Day, if you had a park reservation and valid admission, you had full access to all of the D23 Day offerings going on across the whole Resort.

Fans at Disneyland were able to enjoy special offerings that included a Disney Legends Cavalcade plus two separate dance parties at Tomorrowland Terrace including a new evening Disney+ Hulu Throwbacks Dance Party and the popular Stitch’s Interplanetary Beach Party Blast at Tomorrowland Terrace. Meanwhile, at Disney California Adventure there was a special Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration in the evening at DCA along with fun earlier in the day with the concurrent celebration for Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party. Other fun included a free D23 Day ears hats and commemorative map distributed in the morning at both parks plus special merchandise collections, photo ops, and other surprises.

There was also special fun this year including the unveiling of the 100th anniversary Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Mickey balloon that Disney will be using this year plus a special D23 Day Welcome Gift for Disney Good Neighbor hotels.
