Avengers Campus at DCA is doubling in size and this past weekend at 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event we got a few teases about updates (including MCU talent cameos) for the both the Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab attractions.

Here’s a look at what we got to see at the Disney Experiences Showcase during 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (formerly D23 Expo) taking place from August 14 – 16, 2026.

What to Expect

The Disney Experiences Showcase at the Honda Center was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris who shared the stage with fellow Disney superfan John Stamos to discuss the superhero sized updates coming to Disney California Adventure. President of Marvel Studios and Chief Creative Officer of Marvel, Kevin Feige along with Walt Disney Imagineer Brent Strong shared updates for both Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Here’s some of what we learned.

  • The expansion doubles the Avengers Campus footprint over former backstage parking lots. The walkthrough corridor linking Avengers Campus directly to Cars Land is expected to be reopening soon.
  • Avengers Infinity Defense
    • Guests are recruited by Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) to assemble the Avengers and fight King Thanos.
    • Features reprised performances by Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye).
    • The story will travel to iconic locations including Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City, alongside epic fan-favorite heroes on the quest to defeat King Thanos.
    • The attraction is set to open open in 2028.
  • Stark Flight Lab
    • The dynamic flight simulator experience will feature instruction from Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie, and Brie Larson (Captain Marvel).
    • The technology features two-person gyro-kinetic pods that roll along a track before stopping in front of a giant robot arm.
    • Guests are deployed to a test station, whirling around in simulated flight manuvers
    • The attraction is set to open open in 2028.
