Virtual Queue, Mobile Order, and Mobile Checkout are all going to be a major part of 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event if you’re planning to get some shopping in during the event. While standby options may be available at most locations, savvy shoppers will try to take advantage of these time-saving options.

Here’s the latest information to know about Virtual Queue, Mobile Order, and Mobile Checkout during 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (formerly D23 Expo) taking place from August 14 – 16, 2026.

How to Use Mobile Services

Unfortunately, fans this year will once again need to use TWO separate Disney apps to fully enjoy the shopping options at the event. Thankfully, fans of the Disney Parks should already be well versed in the use of these systems. You want to make sure to have both the Disneyland and D23 apps installed (see links below) and, of course, make sure that they are both signed into the SAME single Disney account that’s tied to your D23 admission.

IMPORTANT: We recommend installing both apps and signing into each app before heading into the event to ensure you have no issues once you are there.

It’s also important to note that many locations are cashless venues and will only accept a credit or debit card.

Using Virtual Queue

Select shopping venues are only accessible during virtual queue — with no guarantee for standby availability.

  1. Virtual queue opportunities will be available at 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. each day on the Disneyland app accessible through the Disney D23 app for fans within a 90-mile radius of the Anaheim Convention Center.
  2. Fans may sign up for a Virtual Queue for themselves plus one (1) guest, one queue at a time.
  3. Guests will be able to receive a notification when it’s their turn to shop.
  4. Joining the virtual queue does not grant immediate access to any experience, and there may still be a queue and waiting period at the location.
  5. The virtual queue is limited in capacity and subject to availability.
  6. Limited Standby Opportunities are not guaranteed but MAY be available.

IMPORTANT: There will be no stand-by queues available in the mornings, but stand-by opportunities may be available later in the afternoon each day if all virtual queue boarding groups for the day have been called. Traditional queuing (standby queue) is also available at locations not utilizing virtual queue throughout the event.

Using Mobile Order for Pickup

Select shopping venues offer the option to order and pick up items without the need to enter to shop.

  1. After joining a store’s virtual queue and being called back, fans will be granted access to place a mobile order at the store entrance.
  2. Simply pay for merchandise using the Disneyland Resort app on a mobile device without having to go to the venue.
  3. After the order is submitted, a team will assemble the products and fans will receive a notification when their order is ready for pickup.
  4. A digital receipt will be sent to the email linked to the Disneyland Resort app, and any eligible discounts will be automatically applied.

Using Merchandise Mobile Checkout

Save time while shopping by paying for items using the Disneyland app at select locations.

  1. Simply scan each item’s barcode to add it to a shopping bag and pay for items by selecting “Purchase.”
  2. Once a purchase is complete, show the QR code confirmation to a Cast Member at the merchandise mobile checkout station to scan before exiting the store.
  3. A digital receipt will be sent to the email address linked to the Disneyland app, and all eligible discounts will be automatically applied.
  4. The merchandise mobile checkout service is available in addition to traditional checkout services.
