It’s time to “Celebrate Happy” at the Happiest Place on Earth as Disneyland celebrates another milestone with the 70th Anniversary Celebration! New and returning entertainment has the place hopping like it hasn’t in several years plus there’s new food, shopping, and other surprises around the whole property!

Here’s everything you need to know about the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration at the Disneyland Resort.

Entertainment

Some of the big ticket entertainment for the 70th Anniversary Celebration includes the brand-new World of Color Happiness! featuring the characters from the INSIDE OUT franchise and a bunch of fan-favorite characters A returning roster of fan-favorites includes the popular Wondrous Journeys nighttime spectacular (with fireworks on select nights) and the highly-anticipated return of the Paint the Night parade which boasts small updates. Plus you can also catch Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration parade which first debuted in 2024.

Other highlights of new offerings include the awe-inspiring Tapestry of Happiness projection show on the facade of “it’s a small world” (yes, we literally “awed” several times!) and the Celebrate Happy: A Little Bit of Magic Every Night projection show which takes place on the cade of Carthay Circle Restaurant plus the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade featuring Mickey and Friends.

Although not specifically tried to the 70th Celebration, you can also take in the new Disney Junior: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! stage show and the Pixar Pals Playtime Party full of favorite Pixar characters ready to play and … celebrate happy!

Attractions

The Walt Disney — A Magical Life show debuted just in time for the actual anniversary on July 17, 2025 featuring the first-ever audio animatronic of the company’s namesake founder. The show debuted with a new exhibit called “Evolution of a Dream” taking a look at the park’s history with audio animatronics. There’s also a special tribute to the Sherman Brothers featuring a new final verse written for the legendary “it’s a small world” attraction by the late Richard M. Sherman who originally crafted the song with his brother Robert B. Sherman.

Plus, Toy Story Midway Mania! has a temporary overlay that features celebrational 70 stickers on the attraction’s queue and interiors. More than just decorations, these 70s up your chances of earning a score higher than you ever have before! Plus, although not specifically for the 70th anniversary, “it’s a small world” returns from refurbishment with a thorough refresh that includes the addition of new characters from Disney-Pixar’s COCO and now includes that new final verse!

More Fun

Other fun activities for the 70th Anniversary Celebration includes the $60 Key to Disneyland interactive experience which has guests partake in a park-wide scavenger hunt to unlock an exclusive Disney pin. Guests rocking MagicBand+ can also embark on new adventures to earn keepsake cards paying homage to 70 years of the Happiest Place on Earth. Plus, you’ll find a host of other digital extras including more MagicBand+  interactions with interactivity during select shows plus PhotoPass Magic Shots, and Disneyland app Photo Lenses.

You’ll also see the party extending over to Downtown Disney where various tenants have their own offers of merch and dining to commemorate the celebration.

Food

Dozens and dozens of new items are ready to tempt the wallet with several collections ranging from new trendy new style of apparel and jewelry to traditional mementos and keepsakes all with either a nostalgic historical angle or a celebrational vibe for the anniversary. Plus, food and drink locations around the Resort are offering novelty items that include popcorn buckets, souvenir sippers, and more. There’s also a brand new Customizable Bubble Wand merchandise line that’s hoping to encourage collectors.

There’s even more to the celebration to uncover. Both the Resort itself plus Mickey and all his friends are fully decked out for the party with colorful decor and outfits. Even the guide maps are updated for the festivities plus similar updates to Disneyland Hotel room keys (including a free commemorative print for hotel guests), and a new post card quest around the whole property. Plus, as a special tribute to Walt Disney’s wife Lillian, a new commemorative window debuted on Main Street (on their anniversary date, no less)!
