When Toy Story Midway Mania first opened, many assumed that the predominantly screen-heavy attraction could take opportunities to be refreshed and updated with new visuals, games, or even seasonal overlays. The extreme popularity of the attraction, however, has shown little need for Disney to amp up the excitement level for the video-game-turned-ride experience.

However, for the 70th anniversary, the Mouse has confirmed that the attraction WLL be updated, inviting guests to look for nods to the 70th anniversary.

We’re hopping possible software upgrade requirements prompted a refresh of the game systems making updates like this more tenable for the future! Imagine a spooky fun Halloween overlay or a festive “new toys are coming” overlay for the Holidays. The options are limitless!
