Room Tour
Before we take a closer look at everything included, enjoy this room tour video below taking a closer look at Room 245 at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel.
What’s Included
The Deluxe Studios feature a theme of either SLEEPING BEAUTY or, what you’ll see on this page, THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG. The accommodation features a typical style layout with bed and common area plus a kitchenette and bathroom. This room type may sleep up to 4 guests and 1 infant — cribs and high chairs are available upon request.
Bed and Common Area
The Deluxe Studio maximizes an efficient use of layout to pack function into the small space. The room includes a queen bed and a queen-size pull-down bed that retracts into a sofa, a 55″ flat screen-TV, and a closet with wall safe, spare pillows and blanket. Unlike other room types, the bathroom does not have a a separate toilet room, instead the toilet and shower with lowered-entrance tub are in the same space. A hair dryer is included with other typical bathroom amenities.
The theme of THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG carries through with a rug that features a colorful lily pad motif and the lyric “Blue Skies and Sunshine” heard sung in the film. A relief pattern backsplash behind the television features iconography that evokes the film while artwork over the headboard features Tiana inside of her signature restaurant with her mother. Artwork on the wall features concept art and sketches from the film and beautiful lily pads light up on the mirrors in the bathroom.
Kitchenette
There is kitchenette that includes sink, mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster and Keurig coffee maker. You’ll also find additional accoutrement that includes proper dishes, glasses, and eating utensils, can and bottle opener, corkscrew, and ice bucket. Although they are not in the room, you can also request a blender, electric mixer, tea kettle, mop, broom, and dustpan. If cooking on vacation is not your speed then you can order from the room service menu which includes a *gulp* $75 steak and shrimp dinner.
Accessibility Amenities
While all rooms at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel should be manageable for guests with varying needs, the wheelchair-specific rooms offer a few amenities that will help to make guests in wheelchairs have an even more comfortable stay.
The table and counter tops measure to heights of approximately 32″ with sinks having recesses to allow for an easy roll-up. The bathroom features lowered entry tub shower with handrails and bench and the doorway out onto the balcony is almost completely flat for easy access. Although we did not measure the height of the bed, we did notice that it was significantly lower than in other rooms.
To contrast the changes, you can see what a Deluxe Studio with The Princess and the Frog theme looks from our previous visit.
The View
Deluxe Studios are available in three main types. Preferred View (of either the Palette Pool or the Monorail Pool and surrounding areas); Standard View (gardens, street, or parking areas); and Deluxe Studio Garden (these are are separate from the main tower and feature easy access to the pool with either a patio or a balcony.) The windows in this room don’t open and there’s no balcony but the view does look out on the Steamboat Willie water play area and Palette Pool.
Electrical Outlets and USB Charging
We found no less than 9 available wall outlets that were not in use and we actually think we might have even missed a few. In addition, there were 1 USB ports and 1 Type C ports making for 11 different ways to power up your tech in this Deluxe Studio.
