Back again after a popular debut last year, the Knott’s Interactive Lanterns are back with a 2024 Edition that not only features a new spider decoration piece but also has added functionality not on last year’s modle. You can pick these up all around 2024 Knott’s Scary Farm nighttime event.

Here’s a look at everything you need to know about Interactive Lanterns during 2024 Knott’s Scary Farm!

Interactive Lanterns are newly updated for 2024 and available for $39.99 at locations around the park. The special lanterns detect and activate special moments at dozens of areas spread across mazes, scare zones, park displays, and even inside the Legacy Haunt Store.

IMPORTANT: Newer effects introduced this year can only be activated by the NEW 2024 lanterns. Older lanterns purchased in 2023 will still work for a large majority of the interactive effects, but not all of them. You can distinguish 2024 edition lanterns from last year’s with the new spider decoration.

You can pick up interactive langerns all over the place including Cordy’s Corner, Factory Store, Legacy Store, Virginia’s Gift Shop, and at booths around the park. We were super tempted to pick one up this year but the price tag on these bad boys is just a tad too rich, we thought. Plus, we’re worried about even more enhancements next year that would make these obsolete.

Knott’s Scary Farm returns for 29 frightful nights from September 19 – November 2, 2024. Event dates follow:

Knott’s Scary Farm is open 7:00 pm – 1:00 am, excluding Fridays and Saturdays, where the event will run 7:00 pm – 2:00 am. Due to the explicit and frightening nature of the event, it is not recommended for children under 13.
