As Downtown Disney continues to its evolution into its new phase, the Mouse has confirmed several updates for the shopping, dining, and entertainment district at the Disneyland Resort including two new restaurant locations in a 2-story expansion, one for Earl of Sandwich and the other for their brand new dining concept, The Carnaby Tavern.
As we previously announced, the all-new Earl of Sandwich will be coming to Downtown Disney with a two-story expansion. In addition to a light and airy Earl of Sandwich planned for the ground level, the second floor will be home to an all-new table service concept, The Carnaby Tavern.
The Carnaby Tavern is being designed as an homage to the swinging ‘60s “British Invasion” pop and rock bands from the U.K. The restaurant will feature a patio with an indoor/outdoor full-service bar.
The current location for Earl of Sandwich on the east side of Downtown Disney will close in 2025, so construction may begin on Porto’s Bakery. Until then, you can enjoy both the Earl of Sandwich and Earl of Sandwich Tavern as well as at a new pop-up pod near Star Wars Trading Post.
