The Disney on the Yard program launched in 2020 by The Walt Disney Company to connect with students and alumni from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The initiative provides scholarships, internships, and career opportunities, focusing on building stronger relationships with HBCU communities.

The program’s name reflects its connection to HBCU culture, where “the yard” refers to the central gathering space on many campuses. Through partnerships with HBCUs, Disney on the Yard offers mentorship and professional development, aiming to support and uplift HBCU students and alumni.
