We already knew that the “Bare Necessities” from THE JUNGLE BOOK was going to be performed as part of the new set list for the upcoming revamped Country Bear Musical Jamboree at Walt Disney World and today we got another sampling of what’s coming when the attraction reopens this summer.
As part of the newest episode of We Call it Imagineering we get to see some of the behind the scenes magic to bring the attraction to life.
New Songs
The Country Bear Musical Jamboree will include several easter eggs for fans to scope from beginning to the end but the most obvious Disney nods are going to be the main focus. As previously announced, the Country Bears will sing new, reinterpreted Disney songs in different genres of country music including bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly and other styles.
Among the many songs coming to the show’s new rendition are:
- “Try Everything” from Walt Disney Animation Studios ZOOTOPIA
- “A Whole New World” from Walt Disney Animation Studios ALADDIN

Behind the Scenes
Paying homage to the musical revues of Nashville, Imagineers worked alongside country star Mac McAnally on the music. As a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame and Alabama Music Hall of Fame he brings just a little bit of field expertise.
- Emily Ann Roberts brings the singing voice to life for Trixie St. Claire in a twangy version if “Try Everything.”
- Allison Russell and Christopher Scott Thile will bring to life the voices of Wendell and Teddi Barra with a mandolin-style version of “A Whole New World.”
See it for Yourself
Country Bear Musical Jamboree is set to open at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Disney World in summer 2024. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
