Get the band back together! The folksy musicians at the Country Bear Jamboree in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World are working on a brand new act that is set to debut in 2024. In a new video released to social media, we can hear one of the new songs being sung is “The Bare Necessities” from THE JUNGLE BOOK.
Since 1971 the show has been bringing a folksy country charm and now the familiar bears will be reinterpreting favorite Disney songs in different genres of country music. To help bring it together, Disney shared that Imagineers are envisioning the new experience as an homage to the classic musical revues from Nashville. For an authentic vibe, they’re working with Nashville musicians to get help ground the sound.
According to a concept art poster released, fan favorite show will sport a new name (Coungry Bear Musical Jamboree) and beloved characters characters — including Teddi Barra, Trixie, Big Al, Henry and more — will all be part of the new show. Plus, it looks like the character formerly known as Liver Lips has been renamed Romeo McGrowl.
The details were first dropped at the 2023 Destination D23 in Orlando.

Country Bear Jamboree is expected to debut its new format at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World 2024. An official opening date has not yet been announced.
