Get the band back together! The Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World are working on a brand new act that is set to debut in 2024. In a new video released to social media, we can hear one of the new songs being sung is “The Bear Necessities” from THE JUNGLE BOOK.
Since 1971 the show has been bringing a folksy country charm and now the show the familiar bears will be reinterpreting favorite Disney songs in different genres of country music. Disney shared that Imagineers are envisioning the new experience as an homage to the classic musical revues in Nashville and they’re working with Nashville musicians to get the authentic country sound.
According to a concept art poster released, fan favorite characters including Teddi Barra, Trixie, Big Al, Henry and more will all be part of the new show. The character formerly known as Liver Lips has been renamed Romeo McGrowl.
