As the grounds of the Haunted Mansion continue to undergo a disquieting metamorphosis with construction to expand and rework the iconic Disneyland attraction’s queue, new surprises are materializing around the stately abode.

Here’s a look at what we experienced at the Haunted Mansion.

What’s New

20240420_184931As construction continues full steam ahead on the exteriors of the Haunted Mansion, a new interactive element has appeared on the refurb walls outside the attraction. A MagicBand+ touch point has appeared. When you tap your band it will light up and begin to play music and sounds from the attraction.

We heard two different recordings playing on alternating repeat. The first is the sounds of a voice clawing to escape. The other variation is a brief snippet of the Mansion’s iconic somber theme. Both are activated by MagicBand+ and will cue the sound of a raven’s caw.
