There’s been a bunch of details dropped about the upcoming 2024 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (formerly D23 Expo) and we’ve got a complete breakdown of the various things you can expect including three days of marquee showcases and presentations, an expanded show floor, increased shopping opportunities, and a bunch of other new offerings.

Here’s everything we know so far 2024 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event coming to Anaheim, CA from August 9 – 11, 2024.

What to Expect

At the Honda Center

New to the mix this year is the change in scenery for Disney’s biggest keynote presentations to the Honda Center. This new venue offers more capacity than ever (nearly double at approximately 12,000) but also requires an upgraded ticket for access.

Here’s what you can expect to enjoy each evening during the event:

• Disney Entertainment Showcase, (on Friday, August 9) will feature exclusive looks at the movies, series, and stage shows fans love and a glimpse of what’s next
• Disney Experiences, (on Saturday, August 10) will feature the latest on new and highly anticipated projects in development around the world for Disney parks, experiences, and beyond
• Disney Legends Awards, (on Sunday, August 11) hosted by Ryan Seacrest. This year, the Walt Disney Archives is honoring Colleen Atwood, Angela Bassett, Martha Blanding, James L. Brooks, James Cameron, Jamie Lee Curtis, Miley Cyrus, Steve Ditko, Harrison Ford, Mark Henn, Frank Oz, Kelly Ripa, Joe Rohde, and John Williams.

At the Anaheim Convention Center

On the Show Floor

• An immersive and expanded show floor promises experiences and activities for all ages.
• Fan-favorites will return including pavilions from Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Disney+, Marvel Studios, Disney Experiences, and Lucasfilm
• Along with the pavilions, fans can experience returning favorites such as photo spots, interactive displays, pin trading, and concessions.
• Experience a first of-its-kind exhibition from the Walt Disney Archives entitled “A Great Big Beautiful Car Show”
  • Throughout the exhibition, the Archives will display some of the most iconic—and more than a few unusual—vehicles from beloved stories across the many worlds of Disney that have traveled on the big screen, television, and even down Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland Park.

Panels and Presentations

• Attend specially curated shows, panels, and presentations, along with conversations with storytellers, creators, and talent.
• Presentations be located across five different stages at the Anaheim Convention Center including the return of Premier Stage, Hyperion Stage, and Backlot Stage.
• D23 Arena returns this year and a new Spotlight Stage on the main show floor will feature even more content.
• The Archives Stage is being expanded to 1,400 seats and will feature programming including:
  • Walt’s Famous Trips to Latin America
  • A Look Back at New York World’s Fair
  • A Conversation with Disney Legends

Shopping Experiences

• Fans can take advantage of great shopping opportunities including a dedicated space to shop on the second floor of the North Hall and experience limited-edition merchandise and collectibles.
• Returning fan-favorite shopping destinations include: Mickey’s of Glendale, The Hollywood Studio Store, and The Emporium.
• The Walt Disney Company Store will make its debut and feature exclusive D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event branded products.

Mousequerade

• The fan-favorite costume contest returns again welcoming heroes, villains, and royalty from all reaches of the known galaxy to showcase their fandom and talents.
• Fans can enter into any of three categories that best fits their cosplay creation, with one more chance to win as the fan-favorite Audience Choice!

Transportation

Several transportation options will be available to help maximize time at the different venues of the event.

• Complimentary round-trip shuttle service will be available between the Anaheim Convention Center and the Honda Center before and after the evening shows
• Parking at the Anaheim Convention Center will also be available as it has been in previous years on a first come, first served basis
• Additional transportation and parking details will be provided closer to the event
