After a teaser announcement at the beginning of the year had fans in suspense, the long-awaited debut of the characters Meilin and Ming from Disney-Pixar’s TURNING RED finally happened at Disney California Adventure as part of the launch of the Lunar New Year celebrations!
Meilin Lee (or Mei as her friends call her) can be seen mid-transformation into her iconic Red Panda form and to make sure she doesn’t get into trouble, her mother Ming Lee is also on hand. The two can be found intermittently near the Ariel’s Undersea Adventure attraction where Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps from ZOOTOPIA can typically be found. Most recently, the location was home to the characters from UP during the Disney Festival of Holidays.
On the first day of operations, the characters drew quite the crowd and Cast Members were asking guests to limit their interactions to 3 photos tops to keep the long lines of eager fans moving. The images shown here are provided courtesy of Disney.
