Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 4k ultra hd dvdConstructing the Multiverse takes a great insider look with really great footage on-set showing not just the myriad of blue-screens but also the fantastic sets and shooting locations. Input is included from director Sam Raimi, cast, and crew as we delve into story, characters (including Defender Strange, Sinister Strange, Dead Strange), and production.

Introducing America Chavez is a portal punch into the world Xochitl Gomez. This fun short piece follows her path into the MCU as the most influential character in DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS.

Method to the Madness features Kevin Feige and a bunch of the film’s crew members talking about the vision and contributions of director Sam Raimi. From his early filmmaker days to his foray into the Marvel universe with the original Spider-Man films, the filmmaker has had an indelible hand in superhero movies as we know them today. Actor Bruce Campbell provides hilarious input on his experience with Raimi and also the iconic multiple cameos of the Oldsmobile Delta 88.

The Audio Commentary on this release boasts impressive roster of director Sam Raimi, co-producer Richie Palmer, and writer Michael Waldron. Hoping to dive into this one soon for thoughts on this polarizing venture into the MUC.

The remaining features are the class standbys including a particularly entertaining Gag Reel with a bunch of on-set silliness from the whole cast. A selection of revealing-almost-nothing Deleted Scenes is also included:

  • A Great Team is an in-world interview with Steve and Christine offering a painful look at the strained relationship between the two star-crossed lovers. We’re assuming this was the original opening for the movie and thought it would have actually worked quite well and segued perfectly into what became the opening of the film.
  • It’s Not Permanent is a slightly extended version of the scene in the movie in which Pizza Poppa accuses Doctor Strange of being an imposter
  • Pizza Poppa is a silly alternate take of the end-credit scene with Bruce Campbell

See it for Yourself
