Downtown Disney is seeing some major changes in the upcoming future and today we have some details for what guests can expect plus new concept art showing the mid-century modern style in action.
The new direction for Downtown Disney draws inspiration from Southern California mid-century modern architecture. The west-end area of the property will be a blend of vibrant color palettes with design elements and patterns influenced by the region, and there will be an open lawn for relaxation and future events, and an even broader and diverse collection of dining and shopping.
Below is a taste of what’s been announced!
Din Tai Fung
Disney also announced a new anchor tenant, wildly popular dim sum chain Din Tai Fung, which will offer guests their signature soup dumplings hand crafted right on site! This family-run restaurant will bring flavorful Chinese cuisine to Downtown Disney, where guests can enjoy dishes served family style in a creative space near our new lawn pavilion.
Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio and Beignets Expressed
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is will be evolving into an updated concept that incorporates vibrant California energy and a fresh approach to the menu, while staying true to the heart of New Orleans. The concept art teases work-in-progress names of Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio and next door quick stop Beignets Expressed.
Paseo and Centrico by Patina Group
Catal and Uva Bar are going by the wayside, to be replaced by a new Mexican concept from Patina Group called Paseo and Centrico. Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytan will bring his inclusive vision of Mexican cuisine to life with a multi-sensory journey to the heart of his homeland.
Earl of Sandwich
This hearty fan-favorite will also be returning with a new walk-up location.
See it for Yourself
