In a world where minimizing touch has been a forefront thought, Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park is officially going completely cashless throughout the park. Encouraging transactions that minimize contacts between guests and their employees the new policy advises the use of credit and deibt cards as well as contact-less methods of payment such as Google Pay and Apple Pay.

The change affects all locations inside Knott’s Berry Farm but locations that still accept cash include all parking booths plus California Marketplace, special event crafters, and the Knott’s Berry Farm Hotel.

Of course, showing up with only cash is still a real world possibility and Knott’s will have Cash-to-Card kiosks available that can transfer cash to a prepaid Visa card that can be used anywhere, not just at the park. Cards can be loaded with any amount from $1 to $500.

There are no fees to convert your cash to a prepaid Visa card and no fees to use the card in or outside the park. As long as the card is used regularly, no monthly fees will apply. After 92 consecutive days of no transaction activity, however, a $3.95 fee will be charged each month.
