Continuing past their most modest expectations, Disneyland Paris confirmed today that they will NOT be able to meet their previously anticipated reopening date April 2, 2021.
The original plan announced last fall was peculiar in that they ceased operation of the Resort on October 30, 2020 with the intention to re-open by December 19 only to close once more after the holidays from January 4 – February 12, 2021. Ultimately, the resort never ended up reopening for the Christmas season and has remain closed since October 30 of last year. Optimistic goals announced earlier this year pegged an April 2 reopening but restrictions across Europe continue to prohibit Disney from moving forward.
The full statement follows below.
Due to prevailing conditions and travel restrictions across Europe, Disneyland Paris will not reopen on April 2 as initially planned.
We are optimistic that we will be able to reopen soon, and we will share updates when possible. Please check back on the website for regular updates.

The unfortunate news is contrasted with its sister park in Anaheim where plans are under way to reopen the Disneyland Resort by late April.
