After having just unveiled the newly-renovated Castle of Magical Dreams and plans for their 15th Anniversary, Hong Kong Disneyland is expected to be closing its gates once again in response to another uptick in cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus. The Disney destination would fall under the new restrictions that would reportedly go into effect on Wednesday.

This marks the third time that Hong Kong Disneyland park has closed in the interest of public health and safety with regards to the coronavirus. As with previous closures, a reopening date remains to be determined.

The Hong Kong Disneyland official website has been updated with the following statement.

Hong Kong Disneyland Park will temporarily close from December 1

As required by the government and in line with preventive efforts taking place across Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland park will temporarily close beginning December 2. We are in close contact with health authorities and the government about the situation and will announce a reopening date once they determine it is advisable.

The park is also scheduled to close today (December 1).
