As the Disney Holidays continue on at the merriest place one Earth, the construction, refurbishment and on-going projects keep moving full steam ahead.
This week we’ll visit in with the royals of Arendelle to see Anna and Elsa in their new FROZEN 2 outfits, catch updates on Avengers Campus and Mickey’s Runaway Railway construction, scope Project Stardust progress in Tomorrowland, and we’ll sink our teeth into some of the new seasonal menu offerings available for the Disney Holidays.
Of course, a merch run at the end plus more surprises in this week’s park pictorial. ENJOY!

Around Disneyland
Always love seeing little bits of magic-making in the parks, even when it’s just painting rails and fences!
Mickeys?! Why not Donalds??
Meet me on Main Street.
Tomorrowland entrance continues to evolve. New concept art on the refurbishment walls show what’s to come.
Since Disneyland first opened in 1955, there have been several great, big beautiful Tomorrowland entrances – and its threshold is being transformed once again! As shown in this concept rendering, guests will soon be entering Tomorrowland on a widened pathway lined with elliptical planters that are filled with swirls of colorful flowers and sculptural spires. In addition to being an alluring and more accessible entryway, keen-eyed guests might spot that this new threshold into the future pays homage to yesterday’s Tomorrowlands…
Still missing some railings on some of the new planters.
New posters at Tropical Hideaway are nice but feel unnecessary bordering on cynically crass.
Matterhorn is back to full operation with both sides of the mountain offering bobsled rides.
Still no marquee on Fantasy Faire Gifts.
Smothered Beef ($16.49) at French Market on the left features tender braised beef with creamy mashed potatoes, roasted garlic, and caramelized onion jus served with pesto corn. Incredibly satisfying although the pesto on the corn seems oddly paired. Definitely recommend.
Chicken Mole ($15.49) at Rancho Del Zocalo on the right features seasoned half chicken topped with rich mole, drizzled with sour cream, sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds, and served with Mexican rice and refried beans. Bold, rich, and flavorful! A super solid choice for a meal!
Blue Lump Crab Fritters at Royal Street Verndah are filled with lump crab, cream cheese, herbs, citrus, and herb seasoning and served with cocktail sauce. They’re pretty messy as the filling is pretty runny but the flavors are accentuated by the cocktail sauce. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend these.
Pan Dulce Ice Cream Sandwich ($7.99) at Rancho Del Zocalo features a colorful shell-like Mexican sweet bread with dulce de leche ice cream, cajeta drizzle, and churro streusel. So sweet, so good!
You can still get Haunted Mansion 50th Anniversary treats including the bride’s wedding cake and blue velvet doombuggies.
