The holiday season is back once again this year at Universal Studios Hollywood and the Grinchmas celebration has been joined this year by even more holiday cheer with new additions at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The place where movies come alive is always an adventure in the making but now through January 7 there’s a bunch of holiday magic that has also arisen at the Studio park.
So enjoy now as we present MUST-SEE treats for the holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood.
The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle
Amazing music, dazzling projection-mapping, and a little bit of pyro help bring to live the Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle show. Performed several times a night, you’ll DEFINITELY want to catch this but make sure to do it towards the END of the evening. The land is very small and people crowd into the very small land to experience the first several showings of the spectacle. Try to make it your last stop in the park before heading out for the day or face hoards of wizards and witches trying to behold the magic. Enjoy daily now through January 7, 2018.
The seasonal treat is exceedingly sweet but an absolute MUST-TRY treat for during the winter months at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. You can take in your frorthy hot glass while enjoying all the new holiday decorations in the park and enjoy live entertainment from the a cappella Frog Choir which has incorporated a whole new set with holiday-themed songs.
Holiday Decorations and Merch
Hogesmeade Village is tastefully decorated for the holidays that look similar but upon closer inspection are delightfully unique to the buildings on which they are placed. And of course, purchasables have been an important part of the Wizarding World — from wands and robes to time turners and fantastic beasts — there’s a ton of options available and now through the holiday season there’s even more enchanted gifts for Christmas. Take in some Hogwars Express ornaments, house stockings, snowglobes and more.
Who-Ville Scavenger Hunt and School on Wheels
For every postcard sent at the Who-Ville Post Office, Universal Studio Hollywood’s Discover a Star Foundation will make a donation to School on Wheels. Plus, if you do the Scavenger Hunt you get a cute little commemorative plastic 2017 Grinchmas band.
Photos with Max and the Grinch
Whether it’s Martha May and the Who-Dolls, The Wholiday Singers, Storytime with Cindy-Lou, or the bi-hourly Wholiday Tree Lighting ceremony, there’s a ton of entertainment to take in throughout the day.
“Grinchmas” takes place daily from December 15 through December 31, 2017 and “Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will take place daily from November 24, 2017 through January 7, 2018.
Hungry for More?
