STRANGER THINGS turned Hall H UPSIDE-DOWN at their first visit to San Diego Comic-Con! The passion for this show is obvious and the energy in the room was enough to power a bunch of Christmas lights strung haphazardly in a typical Indiana home in the 80s! Show creators Matt and Ross Duffer were joined by the entire show’s primary cast (excluding Winona Ryder) to give discuss the success of Season 1 and give fans a sneak peeks into Season 2. The cast in attendance included:

  • Your favorite eggo loving lady: Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven)
  • The boys: Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler)
  • The helpful local cop: David Harbour (Chief Hopper)
  • The lovebirds: Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler) and Joe Keery (Steve Harrington)

Top 5 Moments from the Stranger Things SDCC Panel:

  1. BARB CAME BACK: The Duffer Brothers can’t get rid of Barb THAT easy! Shannon Purser (Barb) surprised the audience when approached the microphone during the Q&A and asked if Barb would be back for Season 2. Show creators confirmed that Barb IS in fact dead, and will not be returning, but her death WILL BE AVENGED!!

  2. NEW CHARACTERS: The show will be adding new characters for Season 2! Actors Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink joined the panel and briefly discussed (spoiler-free) their roles within our current storyline.
  3. PATTON OSWALT: The famous comedian was the moderator for the panel and was a constant source of quick-witted jokes and intriguing questions for the cast and creators. You may recognize his voice as the famous Disney rat chef, Ratatouille!
  4. WE FINALLY GET MORE WILL: Now that Will is back from the Upside-down (OR IS HE!?!) you can expect him to be a lead cast member with plenty of screen time.
  5. SEASON 2 PREVIEW PREMIERE: Hall H was treated to the World Premiere of the Season 2 trailer, twice! Michael Jackson’s Thriller (with Vincent Price’s notorious narration) is the perfect 80’s track to set the mood for this eerie season.

STRANGER THINGS Season 2 of premiers this Halloween on Netflix.
