Unsurprisingly, one of the best highlights of the D23 EXPO was being able to attend the DISNEY ON BROADWAY:THE ORIGINALS concert. Host James Monroe Iglehart (Genie from Aladdin on Broadway) played host for the night with Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical) and Josh Strickland (Tarzan: The Broadway Musical).

The concert consisted musical selections from various Disney Theatrical Productions. Before each section of music, one of the three would tell a little bit of the backstory and history on why Disney thought it would translate well into a stage production. For some we were even shown brief clips from the respective shows.

Iglehart was a fantastic host, he has so much passion for entertaining and it really shows. All three entertainers for that matter were quite humble and obviously bit Disney fans, sharing how they got the iconic roles that they originated on Broadway. It was a morning of laughing, crying, and lots of singing along. Truly a highlight.
