Although it officially debuts October 1, Hong Kong Disneyland’s new DISNEY PAINT THE NIGHT nighttime parade has just recently debuted in the park and videos are already starting to appear on the internet. The video above by YouTube user michael20183 showcases the full parade including its show-stop moment.

The new spectacular brings stunning costumes, some beautiful lighting, and an upbeat soundtrack for a super fun nighttime offering that serves as an early celebration to the park’s 10th Anniversary next year.

Bringing the parade to the 21st century are tons of LED and fiber optic effects and over 740,000 individual lights across the seven new original floats and even in the performers costumes and hair.

For added guest interactivity, they can help “paint the night” with a special Paint Brush (available for purchase) that will literally change the colors of the performers’ costumes. Borrowing from the popular GLOW WITH THE SHOW EARS in the United States, there will be new “Mickey Glow Mitt” and “Minnie Glow Bow” merchandise items that change the colors to match the passing floats.

Hardcore Disney fans will also notice minor nods to the Main Street Electrical Parade which was the first Disney Parks parade of this sort including Belle’s oversized dress and the round travelling pods that the classic Disney characters such as Minnie and Donald ride around on.
