The Toy Story Video Game Experience by Atari at 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event brings some absolutely sweet nostalgic vibes throwing back to the earliest days of the TOY STORY gaming franchise. With special advance demos available, you can get your hands on and play the Toy Story: Retro Round-Up and Toy Story 3: Complete Edition games and can score a freebie giveaway for your time — while supplies last!

In full disclosure, as with anyone who demos the games at this activation, we were gifted with a free pin for playing these demos. We were invited as media to access this activation during the event. Here’s a look at what we got to see at the Toy Story Video Game Experience by Atari during 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (formerly D23 Expo) taking place from August 14 – 16, 2026.

What to Expect

Toy Story Video Game Experience by Atari brings fans the chance to get a little nostalgic on the Show Floor at D23 Expo. Aside from being among the first to play Toy Story: Retro Round-Up and Toy Story 3: Complete Edition from Atari and Disney & Pixar Games, you also have the opportunity to score a limited-edition pin, while supplies last! Both games are available for purchase on October 16, 2026!

Getting to play these childhood classics again is truly something so special. It’s a really fun and nostalgic rewind and the line doesn’t get super long in our experience. We can’t wait to share more about what we learned about these incredible games that are a treasure trove of extras unit themselves!

We also got the chance to meet actor Jim Hanks who basically voices Woody anywhere you hear him that is not on the big screen. That means if you’ve heard Woody in these video games, in the theme parks, or virtually anywhere else besides the movies then you’re hearing this very talented man!

About Toy Story: Retro Round-Up

Step back into Andy’s room with this five-game collection that features console and handheld versions of four early Toy Story titles, as well as A Bug’s Life. All the games have been upgraded with new features, quality-of-life improvements, and an overflowing toy chest of behind-the-scenes content featuring exclusive interviews with Jason Katz (Head of Story, Pixar), Jim Hanks (Voice Actor), and more. Here’s a list of the games that are included:

• Toy Story Racer (2001, PlayStation 1, Game Boy Color)
  Race against your friends in this kart racing game, where you play as classic Toy Story characters and zoom through a variety of familiar settings.
• A Bug’s Life (1998, PlayStation 1, Game Boy Color)
  It’s a bug-eat-bug world in this platformer that follows the plot of the hit film.

About Toy Story 3: Complete Edition

Break out of the toy box for a 3D adventure based on the hit 2010 animated film, TOY STORY 3. Fully updated for modern systems (up to 4K resolution at 60 FPS, depending on platform), the enhanced game features improved graphics and a new surprises (including playing as the Evil Emperor Zurg in Toy Box Mode plus four additional Theme Packs to decorate their Toy Box). Play through authentic moments from the movie in Story Mode, or drop into the wild west sandbox of Woody’s Roundup in Toy Box Mode.

• In Story Mode, swap between Woody, Buzz, and Jessie as you play through iconic scenes from the film. Take advantage of each character’s abilities to make your way through and you can even play in two-player co-op.
• In Toy Box Mode. Characters around town give you quests to complete, earn gold and spend it on personalizing the town your way. Build, decorate and customize the buildings, dress up the townsfolk, and more.
