It’s officially happening. It was confirmed at 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that the infamous gigantic yeti figure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will once again be screaming back to life.

Here’s a look at what we got to see at the Disney Experiences Showcase during 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (formerly D23 Expo) taking place from August 14 – 16, 2026.

What to Expect

The Disney Experiences Showcase at the Honda Center was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and featured Thomas Mazloum, Chairman of Disney Experiences (AKA head of Parks and Resorts), who had to take the opportunity to confirm “We’re bringing the Yeti back to life.” The news was met with uproarious applause and a surprise performance by Gloria Gaynor singing “I Will Survive” as a cheeky farewell to the figure that has infamously been dubbed by fans at the Disco Yeti in its frozen un-moving state.
