Disney California Adventure celebrated Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month in May 2026 with cultural festivities centered at Paradise Garden Grill. Dedicated programming honored South Asian and Hawaiian traditions, featuring live performances and unique meet-and-greet opportunities with Mickey and Minnie throughout the month.

Here’s a look at what to know about AAPI Heritage Month at Disney California Adventure.

The festivities highlighted diverse AAPI cultures through specific entertainment and character appearances scheduled throughout May 2026. The celebration provided guests with the opportunity to engage with various traditions, performances, and photo opportunities.

Karmagraphy entertained with South Asian inspired entertainment while the Enchanted Serenaders evoked beautiful song and traditions of the South Pacific.

Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse also participated in the festivities by appearing in special, culturally inspired outfits. Throughout the month, the pair appeared in traditional Indian outfits on Saturdays and festive Aloha outfits on Sundays. They appeared briefly on stage during the cultural performances and were available for limited-time meet and greets near the Paradise Gardens Bandstand.
