Fans will not only be able to immerse themselves in the magic of Disney but they might be able to bring some of it home at 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this year. The Disney Experiences Auction will be part of this year’s event as confirmed by Head of D23 Michael Vargo in a new video shared today!

Here’s the latest information to know about 2026 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event (formerly D23 Expo) taking place from August 14 – 16, 2026.

What to Expect

Fans attending on Sunday, August 16 will be able to participate in one of the programming highlights that Vargo specifically keys in on with the The Disney Experiences Auction – Rare and Remarkable Finds.

Through live and online bidding, fans will be able to discover select, verified pieces from Disney’s theme parks and resorts that are prime for the plucking. The event will be hosted by Bret Iwan, Disney Fine Artist and the Official Voice of Mickey Mouse!

Auction Details

The Disney Experiences Auction – Rare and Remarkable Finds will be conducted by Heritage Auctions featuring 50 significant lots consigned by Disney. The auction will be presented live during D23 while also welcoming online participation through Heritage Live.

The offering spans decades of Disney Experiences history, bringing together original park-used, park-displayed and event-used artifacts from Disneyland, Walt Disney World and other Disney destinations. From attraction props and ride vehicles to anniversary banners, signs and displays, the sale reflects the creativity and craftsmanship that have helped shape memorable guest experiences across Disney parks and resorts. Highlights include:

• An original event-used Mickey Mouse sign from DisneyFest in Singapore, one of Disney’s earliest projects in the country.
• An original Disneyland park-used drawbridge banner from its 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration that welcomed guests approaching the drawbridge of Sleeping Beauty Castle.
• An original Disneyland 50th Anniversary “The Happiest Homecoming on Earth” oval plaque commemorating the resort’s 18-month jubilee celebration.
• A Disneyland park-used mummy prop from Indiana Jones Adventure.
• A Disneyland park-used Medusa glass slide from the changing portrait sequence inside the iconic Haunted Mansion.
• An original sea lion ride vehicle from Disney California Adventure Park’s King Triton’s Carousel.
• A Rococo-style armchair and footstool from Disney California Adventure Park’s fan-favorite Mad T Party.
• A giant new-in-box Magic Key created for Disney Store opening ceremonies.
• A Walt Disney World display featuring Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
• A Walt Disney World merchandise display celebrating the 45th anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
• A rare and unique lot from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
• A rare and unique lot from it’s a small world.
• A rare and unique lot from Polynesian Village.
• A rare and unique lot from Muppet*Vision 3-D at Walt Disney World.
• A rare and unique lot from EPCOT.
• A rare and unique lot from Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
• A rare and unique lot from D Street in Walt Disney World Resort’s Disney Springs.

Shopping Options

In addition, the show room will include a shopping experience that will allow fans a unique opportunity to shop rare and remarkable limited quantity props, artwork, and themed items found within Disney’s Parks, Resorts, and ships.
