About the Attraction

Beginning May 22, 2026, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will introduce major updates. Below is a summary of what was announced at Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025.

  • Although these updates debut the same day as The Mandalorian and Grogu, the attraction will follow its own storyline.
  • In the new narrative, Hondo Ohnaka tasks the crew with aiding Mando and Grogu in tracking down ex-Imperial officers involved in a deal on Tatooine.
  • Guests will be able to choose their own destination for the first time ever, with possible adventures to Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star near Endor, or the newly announced city-planet Coruscant.

  • Engineers get a new responsibility to interact with Grogu during the mission, introducing new gameplay elements.
  • The enhanced experience is made possible through a collaboration with Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) and powered by Unreal Engine 5 from Epic Games, the same technology used on THE MANDALORIAN.
