As the sun sets each day over Knott’s Merry Farm, the park comes to life all at once in a special glow moment that is capped by a special tree lighting ceremony. To help commemorate the season, Snoopy and several citizens of Ghost Town are on hand to add an even more festive vibe to the ‘Tis the Season Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Here’s a look at everything you need to know about the Tis the Season Tree Lighting Ceremony during the 2025 holiday season at Knott’s Merry Farm.

About the Show

The residents of Ghost Town gather around the Ghost Town Christmas Tree for a special tree lighting ceremony. They sing a few carols to help drum up the holiday spirit before the symbolic glowing ornament is added to the tree to light up the night.

This show will get you into the holiday spirit and if you’re just getting warmed up by the glow of the tree, you’ll want to head over to the Calico Stage for the charming Home for the Holidays show that carries the yuletide cheer.

How to Watch

‘Tis the Season Tree Lighting Ceremony runs for approximately 7 minutes and is a popular evening option. Because it only happens once each evening, you will want to arrive at least 30 minutes early, longer if you’re picky about your spot. Otherwise, anywhere within sight of the tree will be a great view of the festivities. The dancers are on a slightly elevated stage which helps make them a little easier to see as they dance around the tree but the tree should be visible from many vantage points around the area!

Showtimes are typically at 5:15pm during the Knott’s Merry Farm season but always check the app for showtimes on the day of your visit.
