About the Show
The fan-favorite show brings cherished holiday songs celebrating Christmas and Hannukah set to beautiful music with projection mapping across various Disneyland landmarks (Sleeping Beauty Castle, “it’s a small world” Holiday, and the Rivers of America) plus the addition of fireworks on select nights. Of course, the final touch of magic comes from snow fall in select areas of the park.
The show features an indelible mix of songs including the show’s main theme “Believe… in Holiday Magic” which is actually a variation of the theme “Believe… There’s Magic in the Stars” which was written for Disneyland’s 45th anniversary fireworks show in 2000. This holiday version of the show debuted that same year and has been performed nearly every season since.
Classic songs featured in the show are “Can You Remember” performed by country singer Kellie Coffey plus musical arrangements of holiday classics including the Nutcracker Suite, the Dreidel Song, All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth, I’ll Be Home for Christmas, Silent Night, Russian Dance from the Nutcracker, and The Christmas Song. The snow moment that takes place after the fireworks is set to “I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas.”
How to Watch
Believe… In Holiday Magic runs approximately 10 minutes (with the snow show lasting an additional approximate 4 minutes) and takes place nightly with views from all around the entire Disneyland Resort. The typical showtime when there are performances of the show is at 9:30pm but always check the Disneyland app on the day of your visit for the most accurate information. Of course, the show is subject to cancellation, weather permitting. When weather does end up canceling the fireworks, Disney will do their best to still present the projection version of the show as well as the snow fall show moment, when possible.
The most popular viewing areas for Believe… In Holiday Magic include the locations below. Snow will also usually fall in all of these areas.
- Main Street, USA with a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle
- Sleeping Beauty Castle from Central Plaza (AKA the hub)
- Small World Promenade in front of “it’s a small world” Holiday
- Rivers of America in the same viewing area as Fantasmic!
