There wasn’t a lot of Disneyland news to come out of Destination D23 this year but the Mouse did give an updated look at the changes coming to the fan-favorite Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. New concept art offers a peek at the updated al fresco patio which will boast two fireplaces and the same serene views into Disney California Adventure.

As previously announced, thorough renovation of Napa Rose promises an elevated dining experience, blending timeless Craftsman design with a fresh take on modern Californian sophistication and warmth. Below are the new details shared for the al fresco patio.
- The outdoor patio is being thoughtfully enhanced to welcome more guests for al fresco dining
- Two new fireplaces will cast a warm, flickering glow across the patio, adding a cozy and inviting touch to the atmosphere
Disney previously confirmed the restaurant, known for its refined California cuisine made with superb ingredients, will introduce a new menu and will still feature fan-favorites such as the Smiling Tiger Salad, along with an impeccable wine collection of more than 1,500 labels. The existing exhibition kitchen will remain and the restaurant will expand the counters where guests can watch the masters in action.

Napa Rose is expected to reopen in Fall 2025 at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. An official reopening date has not yet been announced.
Destination D23 takes place at Walt Disney World from August 29-31, 2025. As a perk of membership, D23 Gold Members are able to stream select panels as they happen at the D23 Gold Theater.
