Was it way too expensive? Yes. Did we really enjoy ourselves? Also, yes. That could sum up a day at Disneyland in general but it’s also how we felt about the fun new Key to Disneyland scavenger hunt and quest which was introduced as part of the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Key to Disneyland scavenger hunt during the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration.
What to Expect
Below is a recap of our experience which took us to all nine lands of the park to wait in several lines of varying length (none more than 5-10 minutes) to “unlock the magic.” The reward for finishing was a souvenir pin that is locked away inside the key itself.
We’ll start this story a prologue and a “Once Upon a Time” pulled straight from the Key to Disneyland packaging…
Mickey Mouse is preparing for the 70th Anniversary of Disneyland Park and he needs our help. Each land has been collecting magic for 70 years, and now, it’s time to unlock them for the 70th celebration. The only way to unlock the lands, is through a magical key.
As each land unlocks, the key collects the land’s magic and once all are collected, the key will reveal one of nine trading pins celebrating each land from the key’s hidden chamber. Journey through the lands of Disneyland Park to unlock and unleash the magic and help Mickey ignite the 70th anniversary festivities!
