If you have a MagicBand+ at the Disneyland Resort, you will be able to unlock special interactions created specifically for the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration and pick up some cute keepsake ephemera in the process. Five new zones are found around the park during the special celebration which begins May 16, 2025.

What to Expect

MagicBand+ has been around for a bit at the Disneyland Resort and regular fans know that they can be used to activate special moments of magic throughout the day. During the 70th Anniversary Celebration, there’s a bit of limited-time magic to unlock, as well. Find special MagicBand+ activation points around Disneyland and unlock collectible cards paying homage to the storied history of Disneyland.

How to Participate

  1. Begin your journey by visiting any of the 5 designated locations in Disneyland Park
  2. Unlock surprises when you tap your MagicBand+ to special touch points. Your MagicBand+ will respond with custom light effects, music and sounds unique to the attractions
  3. Unlock all 5 interactions to commemorate your celebration — it’s unclear if anything in particular happens upon completion

Where to Start

Head to any of the designated MagicBand+ locations around Disneyland — there are five in total. At each stop, tap your MagicBand+ to unlock unique interactions and effects inspired by some of the park’s opening-day attractions.

  1. Main Street, USA: Head to Tilly’s Booth at the Main Street Cinema
  2. Frontierland: Find the booth at Silver Spur Supplies (celebrating The Golden Horseshoe, the Mark Twain Riverboat and the Disneyland Railroad)
  3. Adventureland: Head to the Skipper Lockers at the Jungle Cruise
  4. Fantasyland: Find the window by Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique (celebrating the Snow White attraction, Mad Tea Party, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, Peter Pan’s Flight and King Arthur Carrousel)
  5. Tomorrowland: At the Autopia

More Magic to Unlock

Unrelated to the above five special interactions, MagicBand+ will also activate with vibrations and lights during select 70th Anniversary entertainment including Paint the Night, Tapestry of Happiness, World of Color Happiness! and Wondrous Journeys.

Know Before You Go

  • You will need a MagicBand+ to participate — it doesn’t have to be the commemorative Disneyland 70th Anniversary design.
  • Make sure your MagicBand+ is fully charged and linked to your Disney account before your visit.
  • Of course, theme park reservations and valid admission for Disneyland Park are also required for entry
