About the Show

It’s almost a misnomer to call this a show as it’s more of a special moment. Similar to what fans may be used to seeing during Oogie Boogie Event nights, projection mapping is used to turn the facade of Carthay Circle Theater into a canvas upon which a musical celebration comes to life but this takes it up a notch.

Tinker Bell lends a touch of pixie dust and the fans in attendance bring some happy thoughts to send the celebration soaring. A colorful moment of animation unfolds that sees the celebratory decorations on the building come to to life — or rather, come to LIGHT — with colorful LEDs coordinating in sequence with the projections. The show is set to the tune of the brand new “Celebrate Happy” song performed by the Jonas Brothers which can be heard around the resort and on the official Disneyland 70t Celebration album.

Celebrate Happy: A Little Bit of Magic Every Night takes place on the facade of Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure. The entire moment lasts just over two minutes.

There’s no need to arrive more than a few minutes before showtime since the moment is not a proper show and doesn’t draw a crowd the way other entertainment offerings might. There are no seats available except for limited options with obstructed views by the Carthay Circle fountain which may or may not be available.

Typical showtimes are every half hour starting at approximately 7:30pm but showtimes are not listed and may vary by day.
