The dungeon door creaks open… YES, YOU WANT PROCEED! Dungeons & Dragons is one of seven fandoms that are being celebrated during Universal Fan Fest Nights 2025 and we’ve got all the details confirmed for this year’s event! Dungeons & Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep will feature special characters, experiences, food, and more.

Here’s a look at what we know so far about Dungeons & Dragons: Secrets of Waterdeep during Universal Fan Fest Nights 2025 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Attractions and Entertainment

On the Lower Lot, head to Stage 15 (behind Transformers The Ride 3D) and find the iconic tabletop role-playing adventure game come to life like never before with a one-of-a-kind interactive experience.

  • Join the Harpers—a heroic spy network—to foil a plot by the legendary beholder Xanathar and save the city of Waterdeep
  • Universal Studios Hollywood collaborated with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to create the legendary beholder Xanathar that comes to life within the experience
  • You can see a FIRST LOOK below at the impressive new, fully-articulated, creature that will be part of the experience.

Dining

After a night of conquests and adventures, you’ll be ready for some sustenance and libations and The First Roll Tavern is ready with several drinks and snacks to get you into the spirit of Dungeons & Dragons.

The First Roll Tavern

The First Roll Tavern takes over Jurassic Cove on the Lower Lot where you can embark on a rustic feasting journey at  where you’ll find a selection of treats that will keep you fueled. Items include:

  • FOOD
    • 🌞 Hunter’s Mark ($13.99) Marinated beef, arugula and cheese served on a ciabatta roll
    • ☀️ Traveler’s Rations ($10.99) Dried fruit, hardtack, cheese and dried meats
    • ☀️ Beholder’s Brew Fondue ($12.99) Rosemary and onion tavern loaf served with creamy beer fondue
  • DESSERT
    • ☀️ Fireball ($7.99) Spicey chocolate brownie with a strawberry, chili and lime filling and topped with pop rocks
    • ☀️ Gelatinous Cube ($7.99) Blue raspberry gummy filled with candy bones and sugar weapons

  • BEVERAGES

    • The Eldritch Blast ($18) A neon green cocktail made with vodka, apple and kiwi syrup, lemon juice, lemon / lime soda, edible green glitter, edible electric dust, kiwi popping boba and a mint sprig
    • Red Dragon’s Breath ($18) A cherry red cocktail made with tequila, dragon fruit syrup, lime juice, jalapeno, and hibiscus ginger beer served over dry ice
    • Goodberry ($18) A brick red cocktail made with white rum, blackberry syrup, lavender syrup, lemon juice, and soda water and garnished with candy
    • Tasha’s Caustic Brew ($18) A golden yellow cocktail made with spiced rum, elderflower liqueur, mango and lime juice, honey. Garnished with a habanero Tajin rim and a tamarind straw.
    • Beholder’s Blueberry Shandy ($16) Draft beer, lemonade and blueberry syrup and garnished with blueberries

Universal Fan Fest Nights tickets range from the cheapest option at $74 for General Admission (offering entry to the event) to the most expensive option at $373 for the VIP Tour (which includes a guided tour, unlimited express access, private trolley transport, gourmet dinner, and valet parking). Mid-range options offer a combination of daytime park admission with limited express access to rides and attractions, plus evening event access with early entry to select experiences.
