Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 continues at lightspeed with more announcements from Disney+ and Lucasfilm. Amongst updates shared include Diego Luna and Tony Gilroy offering attendees a first look at ANDOR Season 2 (premiering this week on Disney+). Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, Rosario Dawson, and Hayden Christensen previewed AHSOKA Season 2 (returning in 2026) and confirmation of LEGO® STAR WARS: REBUILD GALAXY – PIECES OF THE PAST, a four-part sequel debuting September 19, 2025.

Andor

On Disney+ April 22, 2025

  • Tony Gilroy and Diego Luna appeared on stage alongside Sanne Wohlenberg, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, and Alan Tudyk to preview the highly anticipated second and final season. Attendees watched the full first episode and received an exclusive poster.
  • The final season of Andor unfolds over 12 episodes in four chapters, as Cassian Andor becomes a key figure in the Rebel Alliance. The series is a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Ahsoka

Season 2 begins production April 2025

  • Dave Filoni, Jon Favreau, Rosario Dawson, and Hayden Christensen shared behind-the-scenes photography from Season 1 and early images from Season 2. It was announced that Rory McCann will play Baylan Skoll, replacing the late Ray Stevenson. The presentation closed with an exclusive concept art preview.
  • Season 2 of Ahsoka will continue the storyline introduced in the first season with the return of fan-favorite characters and the debut of new galactic threats.

LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild Galaxy – Pieces of the Past

On Disney+ September 19, 2025

  • Ahmed Best announced the new four-part LEGO Star Wars sequel series live on stage, with a teaser poster revealed for fans.
  • The new story follows Sig Greebling and Darth Dev as they join Jedi Bob, Yesi Scala, and Servo to battle a galactic threat and explore legendary LEGO lore. The cast includes returning voices Gaten Matarazzo, Tony Revolori, Bobby Moynihan, Marsai Martin, Michael Cusack, and Ahmed Best, with special appearances by Mark Hamill, Ashley Eckstein, and Ben Schwartz.
