Disneyland is hoping to offer a little bit of cheer and merriment this year for the 2024 Disney Holidays season with the new Holiday Fun with Santa & Friends! themed area at the Fantasyland Theatre. Complete with music, crafts, snacks — and of course, Santa — all are welcome to get a little bit festive.

Fantasyland Theatre invites everyone to take in the seasonal merriment where you’ll find holiday sing-alongs, character greets, crafts, letters to Santa, photo-ops, and just a bunch of space to sit and relax and soak in the atmosphere. Festive photo-ops also create a bunch of opportunities to snap the perfect portraits for those holiday cards.

Even with the traditional bench seating removed in the lower levels of the theater, this area is not super large so it can get a little crowded. The music, the colors, the lighting, it can all get very… LOUD! Luckily, the nearby stadium seating offers a quick respite and an overview of everything going on in the space.

How to See it

Holiday Fun with Santa & Friends! takes place at the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland and can be enjoyed at your own pace. You can typically expect to see this experience during the day 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM but availability is subject to change so always check the Disneyland app on the day of your visit.

Meet Santa

The Fantasyland Theater is the official spot to score some face time with the jolly old soul while you’re in Disneyland. He’s out all day except during performances of A Christmas Fantasy Parade.

Character Greets

Several characters can be seen here including Chip, Dale, Goofy, Pluto, Clarabelle Cow dressed in their holiday best. We also spotted Pinocchio and Geppetto so you never quite know who will be on Santa’s nice list! Characters rotate throughout the day except during performances of A Christmas Fantasy Parade.

Crafts

If you’re looking for something a little calmer and quieter, you can escape to the upper patio where several coloring activities can be discovered. Coloring crafts, bracelet chains, and letters to Santa are just some of the opportunities available.

Write up your list and drop it right into the mailbox where Santa’s elves will ensure prompt delivery to the jolly man in red!

Entertainment

Live Music

Several times during the day, the Dickens Yuletide Band will either take to the stage or into the area just outside the theater to lighten the temperature with some classic Christmas tunes. Typical showtimes are 11:15 am, 2:55 pm, 4:45 pm where they will appear on stage and 12:15 pm, 1:15 pm, and 3:45 pm where they appear near the Troubador Tavern.

Storytelling

Alternating with the live entertainment are the Fantasyland story tellers who will tell different Christmas stories with a bit of tongue-in-cheek references in there to give the grownups a chuckle.
