Like a quest to fill a gauntlet with more Infinity Stones, Disney is adding a new gem into the crown with confirmation that The GRAMMYS® will be under a 10-year global deal with The Recording Academy as the home for music’s biggest night.

Here’s what we know about the deal to bring The GRAMMYS® into the house of mouse.

The Recording Academy and Disney have signed a landmark 10-year deal to make Disney the exclusive home for “The GRAMMYS®” starting in 2027. For the first time in 50 years, the music awards show will change broadcasters, airing on ABC, Hulu, and Disney+. This agreement also includes the production of GRAMMY®-branded specials and new programming for global audiences on Disney’s platforms, solidifying Disney as the go-to destination for major live events.

This move adds “The GRAMMYS” to Disney’s roster of high-profile live events, including “The Oscars®,” “The CMA Awards,” and all of its ESPN programming. In 2027, Disney will exclusively host “The GRAMMYS,” “The Oscars,” and Super Bowl LXI all in one year. The Recording Academy’s achievements leading up to this announcement include expanding its voting membership, advancing creator-friendly laws, growing GRAMMY ratings, and receiving a spot on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list.
