We had an absolute blast at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event with a bunch of opportunities to soak in the magic, get behind the scenes peeks, and just revel in being immersed in the magic but there was definitely a few thins that made us take a second glance — gave us a little shudder, a brief pause. Halloween is just around the corner and with these few unsettling images we feel ready for the haunt season ahead.

Here’s some of the haunting images that we can’t erase from our brains at the 2024 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

Tiana Heads

The wig heads on display for the Tiana wig and hats on display for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure gave a great chance for an up-close look at the new attraction coming to Disneyland in November but the grey face and lack of eyes is just… creepy!

Putty Eye Elsa

Ok, so this was obviously a work in progress but Elsa’s blank putty eyes was giving similar creepy vibes as Tiana above. Still, it was awesome seeing these artisans literally bringing Disney works of art to life at the Disney Experiences pavilion.

BD-X Face off

These droids are undeniably cute but the blue lighting with those blank white eyes and the quick head turn to peer into our soul and we thought we were ready to meet the maker. We got to take the actual remote control that operates this figure and make him move which was actually incredibly cool!

Blank Elsa

Whether it was the magnets in her head to hold her wig pieces or the blank stare when she wasn’t emoting (or her skeletal arms and body off to the side of her) this one was definitely having us feel a certain type of way. The cold blank stare bothered me, anyway. Demos of the impressive work to bring this figure to life was definitely a cool part of the Disney Experiences pavilion.

Pandoran Creatures

Ok these creatures are meant to evoke fear and it WORKED. Having the chance to get up close and personal with these realistic figures was a pretty cool highlight of the AVATAR pavilion on the Show Floor.

Skeleton Crew

Nothing is scarier than being on a skeleton crew at work… unless these horrific creatures are your co-workers. They were on display at the Disney+ pavilion giving us our first look at characters from the upcoming new series before the trailer officially dropped the following day..
