The announcement that Disneylanders have been waiting for was made but it was made for Walt Disney World with the confirmation at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that a brand new nighttime parade is going to be coming to the Magic Kingdom. Disney also shared some details about nighttime spectaculars for Paris and Tokyo, as well.

Here’s everything we learned at the Disney Experiences Showcase at the 2024 D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

The showcase for Disney Experiences at the Honda Center was hosted by Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences (AKA head of Parks and Resorts) who was joined by former Disney Live Entertainment Cast Members (and Broadway stars) — Eden Espinosa and Rachel Potter who surprised fans with an appearance (and some smooth vocals) to be part of the announcements made.

Disney Starlight

  • Disney Starlight will continue the nighttime spectacular legacy started by the “Main Street Electrical Parade” using the latest technology to tell new stories about the characters you love.
  • All of this is brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy, in addition to beloved characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios films “Peter Pan,” “Encanto,” “Frozen,” and more.
  • Disney Starlight is coming to Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Summer 2025.

At Tokyo Disneyland

  • The new nighttime spectacular “Reach for the Stars” debuts on September 20, 2024.

At Disneyland Paris

  • A new nighttime spectacular with timeless songs from Disney and Pixar coming in January 2025.
  • This moving journey will be told through projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle and – for the first time – down Main Street.
