  • Disney CEO Bob Iger opened the presentation speaking about his memories with Richard.
  • Iger shared that Sherman recently shared he had wrote a new verse for the iconic song it’s a small world. He shared the clip with all of us
  • Host John Stamos shared his own experiences with Sherman before introducing the rest of the panel.
  • Panelists included Don Hahn, Floyd Norman, Kevin Feige, Tony Baxter, and Ashley Brown
  • Kevin Feige shared when Richard met with him and John Favreau to help with a song for Iron Man 2 which became “Make Way for Tomorrow Today.”
  • Floyd Norman shared that Walt said The Jungle Book needed a song and before the week was over “Trust in Me” was written for the movie.
  • Leonard and Jesse Maltin spoke about the history of the Sherman Brothers and their movie scores.
  • The Maltins shared that if there was a piano in the room Richard was playing it
  • They shared personal stories about being friends with Richard and his wife Elizabeth and the special connection he had with Jesse’s daughter Daisy.
  • Greg Sherman, Richard’s son came out and thanked everyone. Saying he was so grateful to the fans to make his dad’s life truly matter
  • Darren Criss and John Stamos sang “I Wanna Be Like You”
  • Haley Mills and Lesley Ann Warren sang “Let’s Get Together”
  • The panelists came together to sing “Let’s go Fly Kite” from the movie Mary Poppins
