Not to be confused with the newly reopened Country Bear Musical Jamboree that just reopened at the Magic Kingdom (on Disneyland’s birthday), the new Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree coming to the happiest place on earth promises to be a crowd pleaser.

Since the removal of the Big Thunder Ranch to make way for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disneyland has not had a barbecue restaurant but that will change soon in Critter Country with the update of the Hungry Bear Restaurant into the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree. With a name that is an homage to the Country Bears who used to grace this part of the park, the menu offerings can be expected to serve hearty porions for bears of all sizes.

Details are light so far but Disney promises regional barbecue dishes inspired by those that the Country Bears discovered while on tour. They also promise the soundtrack for the area will include foot-stompin’ and finger-snappin’ tunes of the Country Bears greatest hits! playing while you eat.

Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree is expected to open late 2024. No official opening date has yet been announced.
