Starting on April 26, Universal Studios Hollywood welcomed in its Studio Tour 60^th Anniversary celebration featuring a nostalgic rewind at the iconic experience. The festivities includes a revamped studio tour, characters and photo-ops, plus themed decor, shopping and dining paying homage to six decades of Universal movie magic.

60th Studio Tour

The Studio Tour has been updated with gighlights including a reimagined Earthquake experience, a new T. rex encounter, and a step-off the tram moment for unique photo-ops. The iconic red-and-white tram design has been restored, and the queue features new artwork and montages. Guests can also see Doc Brown with the DeLorean in Courthouse Square and enjoy refreshed clips, plus new attractions like a Jurassic World-themed area. Other updates include refreshed footage, tributes to past attractions, and new photo-ops near the Bates Motel.

Shopping and Dining

There are themed shopping and dining options around the park. Some of the must have items include include a retro Glamor Tram popcorn bucket with Woody Woodpecker as the driver, along with apparel, accessories, and souvenirs. Items range from pillows and jackets to mugs, keychains, and candies. The collection also features a refillable souvenir cup and other retro-themed memorabilia celebrating the tour’s six decades.

There are also retro-themed food honoring the original Glamor Trams of the 1960s and the diamond anniversary. Special food and snack options, adorned with red and white stripes, plus several dining venues are decorated for the occasion, offering exclusive menu items to commemorate the milestone including Hollywood and Dine, City Snack Shop, City Refreshments, and Mel’s Drive-In. A special dining pass is also available offering a bundled way to enjoy the new treats.

Universal Plaza features a fun setup with characters and photo-ops paying homage to six decades of Universal movie magic.
