About the Show
The 45-foot tall Maleficent dragon animatronic that formerly served as the finale centerpiece does not return. Instead, the reworked finale features an extended scene with Maleficent 35-feet in the air as she confronts Mickey. (WATCH HERE)
- Fans of the show over the years may be familiar with this “B-mode” finale that was used on nights when the former dragon was unable to perform.
- Now that this version of the finale is the primary version, it has been accentuated with new pyrotechnics, projection mapping, and fire effects.
- The “A Whole New World” segment has also been updated with Aladdin and Jasmine dancing on the stage instead of riding on the floating Magic Carpet carpet. (WATCH HERE)
- The Pirates of the Caribbean segment staged upon the Sailing Ship Columbia that debuted in 2017 has been swapped with the return of a modified Peter Pan segment from the original 1992 version of the show. (WATCH HERE)
