For the first time since 2008, Star Wars Celebration is returning to Japan in 2025 and it was confirmed that ticket sales will begin May 2! Taking place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 promises a ton of fun from a galaxy far, far away.
Tickets will go on sale Thursday, May 2, at 7 p.m. EST (U.S. Time) and Friday, May 3, at 8 a.m. JST (Japan Time), with travel packages available for non-local fans who are planning to attend.
The new key art for the event is inspired by the traditional Japanese ink painting style known as sumi-e, the 2025 key art features the looming presence of Darth Vader accompanied by beautiful cherry blossoms and sweeping ink strokes. X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and Imperial AT-ATs are featured prominently in the foreground, while the Rising Sun—Mount Fuji contained within—completes the spectacular piece.
Star Wars Celebration revels in the excitement of new films, television series, books, art, and comics, while also commemorating the vast history of the ever-expanding Star Wars galaxy. It encompasses three full days that include major announcements, immersive exhibits, an interactive show floor, screenings, exclusive merchandise, celebrity guests, panels, autograph sessions, fan-inspired activities, costumes, and more Star Wars surprises.
