Back for its second year, Six Flags Magic Mountain is spicing up spring with its 2024 Flavors of the World food festival. Available to park guests on Saturdays and Sundays now until May 5, the festival adds eight booths starting at Full Throttle and ending at DC Universe.
With hosted admission and tasting passports, we had the chance to check out what’s going on for Six Flags Magic Mountain Favors of the World 2024!
Food & Beverage Passport
The Six Flags Flavors of the World Food & Beverage Passport lanyard gives you the opportunity to taste your way through the offerings from participating locations around the park. You can purchase them online or in the park on the day of your visit.
Prices
- 8-item passport is $49.99
- 12-item passport is $64.99
- Passholders get the 12-items passport for the price of 8, which is an even better value!
VALUE ALERT: To get the most bang for your buck out of the 8-item passport, you’ll just want to make sure you don’t get any of the items that cost less than $6.25 (8-item passport) or $5.41 (12-item passport). Considering the a la carte prices, that shouldn’t be terribly difficult to do!
What We Tried
The booths are open from 12pm until about an hour before park closing. While the park does not seem to be flexing a lot of culinary finesse like you might expect to see at the food festivals at Disney or Knott’s, the offerings for Flavors of the World still bring a fun mix of options. Certainly, the noshables and sippables here are welcome alternatives to the other counter service options in the park plus, having a lanyard meant we were free to snack away while enjoying beautiful weather and great coasters.
We hope Six Flags iterates and expands on the festival in 2025 as there’s lots of potential here. Here’s a closer look at what we tried.
China
Just like last year, the star of this booth is the Youtiao (Chinese Donuts). These light and crispy balls of goodness are covered in cinnamon and sugar – our only complaint is that three isn’t enough! The Tiger Lily Boba Soda was divisive in our group. It’s very lightly flavored club soda, so it’s not overly sweet and lets the mango popping boba shine through. Skip the Chicken with Yakisoba Noodles.
Korea
Our favorite item here is the Korean Quinoa Stir Fry. Loaded with veggies, a decent sized portion, and great flavor makes this a filling and healthy snack. The Watermelon Lemonade is (thankfully) not too sweet and was perfect for sipping on a sunny hike through the hills of Magic Mountain.
Italy
Last year we enjoyed the Toasted Ravioli which were decent and this year we tried some other items. The Minestrone surprised us! It was very flavorful and filled with veggies. The Piccino Caprese Skewers were so good we had them twice. Don’t skip this booth!
India
We were so full we only tried one item from this booth, the Rice Kheer. This one surprised us, as it’s not just a rice pudding. The cardamom flavor is very forward where this could have been made very bland. A unique treat!
Greece
The Greek Salad was a welcome respite from the heavier options from the other booths. The container was stuffed with fresh veggies and feta, and the dressing was divine. We also tried the Beef Gyro on Pita Bread, and while it was a huge portion, the gyro meat itself was just alright.
Mexico
Anecdotally, this booth seemed the most popular throughout the day of our visit. The Birria Taco was tempting, but we settled on the Chicken Tostada and Tres Leches Cake. If we had had more room, we would have tried the Street Corn on the Cob as it looked great! The Chicken Tostada did the job but wasn’t anything special beyond being more filling than some of the other items. The Tres Leches Cake was delightful – moist, sweet, and large enough to share!
Caribbean
The Cubano Cigar Rolls were on our must-try list, and they didn’t disappoint! These are crispy spring rolls filled with ham, pork, and Swiss cheese, with mustard for dipping. Just wish there had been more of them! The Spinach & Cheese Empanada was sizable, but didn’t have much flavor. The Pine Orange Punch was a miss for us – too sweet and syrupy.

Drinks of the World
New for this year’s festival, all of the special alcoholic cocktails are available here for $11.99 each, or in flights of 3 for $29.99. There were lots of happy campers walking away from this booth sipping the various concoctions, but be aware that the serving size is more on the sample side than full-blown bar cocktail.
