Disney previously confirmed that there would be dozens of new audio-animatronic figures used as part of the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and we now have a first look at the beautiful new Tiana figure.

Aside from Princess Tiana, guests can also expect to see figures of Louis, Mama Odie, Prince Naveen, Charlotte, Eudora, a newly developed character named Prince Ralphie (who was seen at the end of the film briefly), plus more.

Mama Odie to Appear in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will have Princess Tiana at the helm and will “dig a little deeper” into her story after the events of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG. in the attraction, it is Mardi Gras season and the bayou will light up for a journey full of music, Mama Odie’s magic, and a whole boatful – log-ful? – of new friends, in preparation for a celebration where everyone’s welcome.

Here’s a few additional details previously announced by Disney.

  • A brand-new cast of original Disney characters with distinct names and personalities

  • Dozens of entirely new Audio-Animatronics® figures

    • A Mama Odie figure will joke with guests following a special display of her magic. The 200-year-old Bayou Fairy Godmother, with her eccentric belongings and “seeing eye snake” Juju, is comically eccentric, yet wise and all knowing, throughout the adventure.
    • Adorable critters (including an otter, a rabbit, a racoon, a beaver, a turtle and more) with incredible talent, bringing the diverse flavors of musical gumbo found in New Orleans playing instruments made from natural materials they found in the bayou.
  • New, original music alongside favorite tunes from the film with jazz, zydeco music and more. Disney collaborated with industry legends PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard on new original music for the attraction
  • The alluring scent of beignets being prepared for the party in the attraction queue
  • Familiar faces from the film such as Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Mama Odie, Louis, Eudora, Charlotte, “Big Daddy,” the King and Queen of Maldonia, and Prince Ralphie

  • Talent voices from the film reprising their roles, including Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie, Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen, Michael Leon Wooley as Louis, and the one and only Disney Legend Anika Noni Rose as Princess Tiana

  • New Orleans artisans contributing to the gumbo pot of authenticity in this attraction
    • Artwork from Louisiana artist Malaika Favorite as part of the queue
    • Original metalwork weathervane from third-generation master blacksmith, Darryl Reeves and his apprentice, Karina Roca

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure retheme of Splash Mountain is expected to open at Magic Kingdom Summer 2024 and at Disneyland late 2024. An official opening date for either attraction has not yet been announced.
